Golden Gate forever
Finally arrived. after 1 day and night on airport and flight to SF we saw the first american places and people on our trip into town with the local bus. the receptionist of the hostel didnt tell the location would be in tijuana of san francisco. so we were in a spanish bus to the hostel. i knew spanish lessons would have helped. naturally our first lunch was ... burger with fries in burger king. yummy. now weve been wandering around the city for 2 days and its like in the movies. everything lot bigger than home. buildings, cars, shopping malls, drinks, the hostel owner, attitude... since we are this very nice couple which really does have the tough american look we feel perfectly well in some streets where the average person is black, tall and talking loudly to themselves .
ooh , btw. weather is quite ok with 25-30 sun all day and NO cloud in the sky. who said it rains in SF? we managed to see real and artificial america in 2 days already. from fishermans wharf to castro, from downtown to chinatown.

amazing caramel apples!
Some of my favourite memories are from fisherman’s wharf, even if the place is so touristy. I had my first ever taste of caramel apples! That's apple, in a stick, covered with toffee! And it was so good. The apples were my favourites too, the sour, green ones. And I loved seeing the sea lions, taking sun at the evening, fighting for space and making loud noises! So funny! We saw the most famous sights of SF too, the Golden Gate bridge and the prison island of Alcatraz when we did a little cruise around them. It was fun and I had good time. SF has so many different areas: You find Chinatown, little Italy, Mexican area and many others. In a way it's a very European city.
